The submitted article will be submitted to the reviewer. At the latest 2 weeks there has been a notice from the reviewer that it is proper to pass along or not. When forwarded, the reviewer will do a review, so on done by the author, review again and fix it again until the reviewer declared completed review and may be published.

Authorship Criteria

Individuals qualify for authorship only when they meet all four criteria:

Make substantial contributions to research conception or design, or to data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation.

Participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising its important intellectual content.

Approve the final version that is submitted for publication.

Agree to be accountable for the integrity and accuracy of the work and cooperate in investigating and resolving related concerns.

Individuals who contribute exclusively through funding acquisition, administrative assistance, routine supervision, proofreading, or technical support do not automatically qualify for authorship.

Such contributions should be recognized in the acknowledgments, subject to the contributors' consent

Articles exceeding this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision before resubmission. The journal emphasizes the importance of original research and proper citation practices to maintain academic integrity. Authors are encouraged to review their work carefully for originality and to adhere to ethical standards in their writing process.

e-Jurnal Apresiasi Ekonomi addresses allegations of research misconduct through fair, evidence-based, confidential, and proportionate procedures consistent with relevant guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The journal recognizes the distinction between suspected misconduct, substantiated misconduct, honest errors, and legitimate scholarly disagreements.

Types of Research Misconduct

Research misconduct and publication ethics violations may include:

Fabrication: Inventing research data, observations, or results.

Falsification: Manipulating data, research procedures, or findings in a misleading manner.

Plagiarism: Presenting another person's ideas, expressions, or scholarly work without appropriate attribution.

Redundant Publication: Publishing substantially overlapping material without appropriate disclosure or justification.

Authorship Misconduct: Misrepresenting scholarly contributions or including unauthorized authors.

Anonymous reports may be considered when sufficiently detailed and supported by credible evidence.

Conflict of Interest

1. Policy Statement

e-Jurnal Apresiasi Ekonomi maintains transparent, impartial, and independent scholarly publishing practices.

A conflict of interest, also referred to as a competing interest, arises when financial, personal, professional, institutional, or other relationships could reasonably influence, or be perceived as influencing, research conduct, manuscript evaluation, or editorial decisions.

The existence of a competing interest does not automatically indicate misconduct. However, failure to disclose or appropriately manage a relevant conflict may compromise publication integrity.

2. Disclosure Requirements for Authors

All authors must disclose potential competing interests during manuscript submission.

Relevant interests may include financial sponsorship, research funding, employment, consultancy, investment ownership, professional collaborations, personal relationships, intellectual commitments, or institutional interests associated with the research.

Authors must identify research funding sources and, where relevant, explain the funder's involvement in study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, manuscript preparation, or the decision to submit.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers must disclose potential conflicts before accepting a review invitation.

Conflicts may arise from close personal relationships, recent collaborations, direct professional competition, financial interests, or other circumstances affecting impartiality.

Reviewers must decline or withdraw from assignments when they cannot provide an independent and objective evaluation.

Reviewers must protect manuscript confidentiality and must not exploit unpublished findings, confidential information, or privileged editorial materials.

If a potential conflict becomes apparent during peer review, the reviewer must immediately notify the handling editor.

4. Responsibilities of Editors

Editors must disclose relevant competing interests and recuse themselves from manuscripts where impartial decision-making could reasonably be questioned.

Such submissions must be transferred to a qualified editor without the relevant conflict.

Manuscripts submitted by editorial board members, editors, or individuals associated with the publishing institution must undergo appropriate independent editorial assessment

An editor who is also a manuscript author must not select reviewers, influence confidential reviewer assessments, or participate in the final editorial decision concerning that submission.

5. Conflict Assessment and Management

The Editor-in-Chief or a designated independent editor is responsible for assessing disclosed conflicts.

Management measures may include requesting additional disclosure, replacing a reviewer, reassigning editorial responsibility, obtaining an independent assessment, or applying other proportionate safeguards.

Disclosure alone does not automatically result in rejection.

The journal evaluates whether the competing interest creates a material risk to scholarly independence, research credibility, or editorial fairness.

Where appropriate, relevant author disclosures will accompany the published article.
